Kerridale Nursery is a private day nursery set in the Rumuogba area of Port Harcourt. We care for babies and children between the ages of 3months and 5 years old. Kerridale Nursery is currently recruiting for a Nursery School Manager.

Job Title: Nursery School Manager
Position Type: Full-time

Job Purpose:
We are a new start-up nursery school in Port Harcourt City of Rivers State – Nigeria. It is important the right nursery manager is recruited especially at the crucial stage of the school. This is a trilling opportunity for an experienced motivated self starter to be part of our history.

Skills/Qualifications:
•   The Nursery Manager must have a Bachelor of Education Degree, plus a minimum of 2 years nursery management experience.
•   Must be a Computer Literate, able to use Microsoft Office Suite.
•   Experience in nursery startup is also desirable.
•   Being a startup, interested candidates must be prepared in different capacity that may be needed in setting up and running a nursery.

The Nursery manager will also need to exhibit the following skills:
•   Strong oral, written and presentation skills
•   Strong leadership and supervisory skills
•   Listening & conflict resolution skills
•   Expertise with the British National Curriculum
•   Expertise in implementing and developing the curriculum using EYFS
•   Understanding of business finance
•   Exceptional communicator
•   Good organizational/class room management skills
•   Ability to demonstrate sensitivity and awareness when communicating with parents and staff.

Duties:
The Manager's Duties include, but are not limited to:
•   Implementation of the EYFS curriculum & evaluating the curriculum to meet the childrens' individual needs
•   Staff recruitment and retention
•   Building strong parent relationships
•   Marketing and setting enrolment targets
•   Health and Safety management
•   Maintenance and appearance of the setting
•   Fostering strong team ethic within the staff
•   Objectivity & confidentiality
•   To attend staff meetings as appropriate.
•   To induct & train other staff
•   To be responsible for your own continued personal development which includes undertaking training as appropriate?
