A Nigerian man living in Sweden decided to marry a Swedish lady in order to be legally certified (resident status), but the lady was not aware of this. She felt he really loved her. As Nigerians have bad image in Sweden, he lied that he was from Uganda.
After their wedding, the Swedish lady informed him that her friend's husband is also from Uganda, so they should have dinner together. The Nigeria man was perplexed.
The two Swedish ladies, wanting their husbands to mingle, being from the same homeland, asked them to speak to each other. "Hey! It's not everyday you meet people from home", they admonished.
Trust the Naija guy, he decided that he would just speak Yoruba, and the guy would probably assume he was from some part of Uganda, where they spoke a different language. So looking across the table he said: "Oga, Omo Eko lemi o, nibo ni iwo ti wa?" In Yoruba, which mean: "I'm a Lagos man. Where do youcome from?" The fellow looked up, hiis eyes lit up as he said: "Ah, padi! Omo Eko le mi o! Omo Eko gan gan!" In Yoruba, this loosely translates to "Hey buddy! I'm a Lagos guy A REAL Lagos guy!....They then both faced the swedish ladies "We're from the same town in Uganda! LOL
