Post by: harrisonboge on Jan 04, 2012, 09:06 AM
Hello guys, in my previous post (What to Say in a Job Interview (http://www.theinfostride.com/forum/index.php?topic=46367.0)), I gave some vital tips on what to say in a Job Interview. Today, I will be sharing some vital tips on what NOT to say in a Job Interview. I hope you will find it helpful too. I wish you success!

1.   Private information: One of the biggest mistakes that people commit in an interview is giving out private information when it is not needed, or even when it is simply not asked. You should try as much as you can to minimize this.

2.   Past problems: Do not try to tell them about any personal likes or dislikes that you may have.  Make sure that you do not talk to them about your past disappointments, or anything negative that you have to tell about your previous organization you worked with. It can be tempting sometimes, but try as much as possible to avoid it.

3.   Your weaknesses: Do not confess to any weaknesses that may put you in a bad light. If it were so bad, the interviewer would have already noticed it and not called you for an interview.  So watch it!

4.   The salary: Never discuss the salary unless and until you are asked about it. Therefore, saying the wrong things during the interview might cost you the job, while saying the right things might get you the job. Salary negotiations are always carried out after receiving a job offer. So don't be too forward, ok?

I wish you good luck....... See You in my Next Post!
