**...The Convener Of The Save Nigeria Group (SNG), Pastor Tunde Bakare; Human Rights Lawyer, Mr. Femi Falana; And Founder of O'odua People's Congress (OPC), Dr. Fredrick Fasheun, Along With Other Activists And Artistes On Yesterday In Lagos, Asked President Goodluck Jonathan To Resign Or Revert The Pump Price Of Fuel To N65 Per Liter.
They Made This Call At The Gani Fawehinmi Park in Ojota, Lagos, During The Second Day Of The Nationwide Protests Against The Removal Of Subsidy On Fuel By The Federal Government. Addressing the crowd, Bakare Said The Goodluck Jonathan Administration Had Demonstrated Its Lack Of Competence In Tackling Corruption And Other Problems, Including The Insecurity Facing The Country.
He Said President Jonathan's Refusal To Bow To The Will Of The Citizens, Who Were Calling For The Reversal Of The Fuel Pump Price To N65, Amounted To Disrespect To The Citizens' Sovereign Power.
They Urged The President To Resign If He Could Not Find Any Solution To The Problems Confronting The Country..**

QuoteSome members of the Federal Executive Council are irked by the role played by the Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke, in the removal of fuel subsidy by the Federal Government on Jan 1, 2012.
The cabinet members are said to be grumbling secretly about the removal of the subsidy amidst the serious security tension in the country earlier than the anticipated date.It was learnt that the announcement of the removal of the subsidy on New Year's Day came as a shock to many FEC members, who were anticipating the removal in April 2012 as announced by the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation last December.
Mr. Augustine Oniwon had said that he was not anticipating the total removal of the subsidy this month as the lifespan of the 2011 bud...get was expected to terminate in March 2012.A source close to the Presidency said that even the Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, who had been consistently criticised by the public as the person behind the hurried removal of the subsidy, didn't know that the subsidy was going to be removed in January (Diezani ordered subsidy removal –Investigation (http://www.punchng.com/news/diezani-ordered-subsidy-removal-investigation/))
..........................Diezani...God who carved out the boundaries of this gtreat nation and created us to inhabit it shall silence your pride and arrogance! I do not blame you at all but the weak GEJ who unfortunately is the president.
BREAKING: Nigeria government, unions fail to reach compromise to end nationwide strike over petrol prices, hence strike continues.
President Jonathan is expected to address nation tonight on d nationwide strike...
QuoteMESSEAGE FROM LABOUR!!!
Fellow Nigerians, The govt is of d belief that after a few days of hunger Nigerians do not have d capacity
to endure pain&hardship, therefore when we get tired we will go back to work. Pls do not let us play
into their hands, let d people for once disappoint this govt. The Lybians,Tunisia ns, Egyptians, Syrians etc did not fight for only 3 days, they fought till the
whole world heard their voices. He that is down fears no fall, we are already down&if we can endure
power failure&all the pains they have inflicted on us for over 35yrs nothing should stop us now. Babangida came with IMF LOAN, the idea was for us to suffer then&our children&us to enjoy later, my
question is"who has the enjoyment now"It is time to put an end to all thissuffering for good. If we çould go abroad to wash plates&dead bodies to earn a living then we are more rugged than we know. I am appealing to all, do not get tired, don't give up let's continue to support labour, if the economy is totally shut down even d cabals will not have an income. If you feel the time has come to put an end to this suffering . pls broadcast this msg.
It will be well with Nigeria very soon. Together we stand for a better Nigeria.
