Principal Accountabilities:
Business Results:
• Responsible for the execution / implementation of the BATWAA logistics outsourcing strategies and development of outsourcing plans as developed by AME Regional logistics, and ensuring that the outsourced contract (s) meet the business requirements through the execution of the strategic sourcing process.
• To have commercial and contractual ownership and control of the logistics budget with all suppliers to enable the delivery of sustainable financial benefits.
• To design and drive an efficient and effective customer delivery scheme by having optimal balance of customer service and transport costs in place.

• To drive a culture whereby absolute control of the Logistics process is of paramount importance.
• To lead the engagement with all internal and external bodies in all aspects of Logistics compliance.
• To participate in the setting and delivery of the Leadership Agenda for Logistics within BATWAA.

Management Results:
• To drive and facilitate "outsource to contract" for specific logistics activities. This includes the resolution of any contracts related issues and may include one-off spend items.
• To ensure contracts are completed for all relevant agreements and that SLA's (Service Level Agreements) have been agreed with the relevant business owner.
• To drive and lead negotiation and supplier selection within the framework of the logistics category and sourcing strategies.
• Provide information on negotiation results in a timely manner to the AME Regional Supply Chain Team

Relationship Results:
• To own commercial supply base management building strong internal and external business relationships to ensure the delivery of the outsourcing and transport service goals.
• To facilitate the creation of supplier SLA's and performance check-points. Manage and resolve contractual performance issues and escalate where required.

Innovation Results:
• To identify new products and services that may impact on outsourcing execution and escalate to the BATWAA Transport Service Centre Manager.
• To identify opportunities to drive integration of logistics solutions linking primary (from on-site factory logistics up to 1st warehouse in the end market) and secondary (end market distribution) to obtain further network scale advantages / synergies. • Develop an environment which seeks continuous improvement and shares best practice ideas from external partners within BATWAA and BAT regionally.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
• A University graduate with at least 5 years experience.
• High level of supply chain knowledge
• Project management experience
• Logistics functional expertise is a key success factor for this role

• Demonstrated service improvements and per mille cost reduction in the logistics process
• The facilitation of logistics outsourcing across BATWAA to contribute tangible business benefits
