A Ghana national has been arrested for her alleged involvement in an online lottery fraud racket. Lusinda Aebiola's husband, Emanuel Augustine Nuseb, 37 - a resident of Johannesburg in South Africa, was arrested on December 16 after the police were tipped off that he and an aide, Ravindrasingh Waccher, 52, of Mulund, were involved in an online lottery racket.

Several bogus demand drafts of foreign banks, a laptop, two pen drives, four mobile phones and SIM cards were seized from them, said ACP (crime) Deven Bharti.

When grilled, Nuseb revealed that Aebiola, 30, had helped him forge documents for the racket.

The accused fooled people into believing that they had won a lottery. They then used to issue fake demand drafts of international banks, but with a rider: pay up Rs2 lakh as processing fee.
