CHAIRMAN of the Lagos chapter of the Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria, Comrade Ike Stephen Nwokenta, has said workers' rejection of the fuel subsidy removal will not change even if the federal government goes ahead with proposed palliatives.
Nwokenta told The Guardian in Umuagu village, Umuahia North Council area of Abia State that workers would only be pacified by a return to the N65 per litre pump price. "Conditional acceptance of the policy would amount to supporting it, and we are not for that. Our stand is total reversal of this policy," he said.
