Lagos State, yesterday morning, recorded its first rain for the year 2012. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the rain, which began at 3a.m. and lasted for one hour, brought some relief to the residents, who had complained of intense cold and dust from the harmattan wind.
