Post by: techieguy on Jan 24, 2012, 09:02 PM
Exclusive - Berlin-based early-stage venture capital firm Point Nine Capital (http://www.crunchbase.com/financial-organization/point-nine-capital) has become the first European investor in CouchSurfing (http://www.crunchbase.com/company/couchsurfing-international), a site that helps travelers connect with locals worldwide (http://www.couchsurfing.org/) to share accommodation, experiences and whatnot.

The investment is in fact an extension of the $7.6 million Series A round (http://techcrunch.com/2011/08/24/couchsurfing-raises-7-6-m-will-users-cry-sell-out/) raised from Benchmark Capital and Omidyar Network in August 2011.
