NEC (http://techcrunch.com/tag/nec) did it again: about 11 months after unveiling the world's slimmest smartphone (http://techcrunch.com/2011/02/21/first-pics-of-the-worlds-thinnest-smartphone-the-nec-medias-leak/) at that time, the company is ready to release another super-thin Android phone with a set of impressive specs (via Japan's biggest mobile carrier NTT Docomo (http://techcrunch.com/tag/docomo)). Dubbed MEDIAS ES N-05D (http://www.nttdocomo.co.jp/info/news_release/2012/01/24_01.html) [JP], the handset will hit Japanese stores in February or March this year.

Here are the main features:

The MEDIAS ES N-05D might (http://techcrunch.com/2011/08/29/nec-medias-report-says-worlds-slimmest-smartphone-is-on-the-way-to-the-us/) reach markets outside Japan at some point in the future, but there is no official word from NEC yet.
