Job Description:
•Provide high level support for complex field operations (BTS) related emergency faults and ensure that all faults are rectified promptly within contracted SLA.
•To ensure Base Station expansion/ reconfiguration is carried according to schedule and with minimal distortion to service.
•Implement and introduce technological innovations to improve MTNN quality of service
•Prepare and compile report on the availability and quality of BTS sites in light of the Service Level Agreement (SLA).
•Carry out routine site maintenance/performance checks to ensure the integrity of MTN Nigeria's assets and improved customer experience.
•Supervise BTS radio routines as defined to schedule.
•Implement approved software changes as directed with change requests.
•Ensure maintenance work undertaken by contractors meets MTN Nigeria's specification.
•Perform high level support functions on all MTN transmission equipment at Switching Centers and BTS sites.
•Administer accurate data within the current Engineering Database, i.e., accurate tracking of RFQs and orders placed with vendors and any changes thereof, co-ordination of the acceptance testing of all delivered links.
•Maintain a comprehensive set of records all BTS sites and spares.
•Maintain the integrity of site configuration database and records systems.
•Ensure all security and network Integrity documentation is completed and adhered to.
Job Conditions:
• Normal MTNN working conditions.
• National travel and a valid drivers license.
• Overtime and callout duties.
• On stand by 24/7 through out the year.
Required Skills:
•Telecommunications or Light Current Related Degree
•(4) years RF & BTS experience with a GSM or Wireless Telecomm operator
•Experience in transmission and radio planning is desirable
•Radio Frequency Propagation
•Microwave Radio equipment operation and maintenance.
