Reports to: GM, PED & PSC   

Work Location: Field Locations / Warri

Supervises:   

•   Project Engineers

•   Site Engineers

Purpose:   

•   Work with design /construction and production team in design, optimization, construction, planning and installation of oil well site production facilities, injection facilities, and gathering systems

•   To design the early production facilities (EPF) and other related production systems

•   Understand and manage the project scope of work, budget and schedule as it applies to the Mechanical Facilities discipline

•   Ensure that facilities are designed and constructed per applicable codes and regulations

Key Roles & Responsibilities:   

•   Manages surface production infrastructure projects from conception through implementation, separator sizing, multiphase pump design and installation as well as maintenance programs

•   Design of onshore oil and gas production facilities equipment layouts and arrangements.

•   Ensure consistency, quality and timeliness of Mechanical discipline deliverables including technical oversight of the Engineering and Design checking effort.

•   Provide technical oversight of the requisitioning and procurement of applicable equipment packages.

•   Ensure that facilities are designed and constructed per applicable codes and regulations

•   Monitor existing operations for opportunities to optimize and improve

•   Prepare engineering work scope and design documents to ensure they are properly defined and completed to support procurement packages, fabrication, and installation

•   Perform sizing calculations for process equipment, process lines, and gathering systems

•   Troubleshooting of existing facilities to optimize production

•   Participates as an active member of the project management effort providing input to short and long term strategies, budgets, key objectives, metrics and plans for organizational development

•   Provides input for the evaluation and selection of engineering and construction contractors that meet Company safety and financial requirements

Accountabilities:   •   Ensure that all process vessels – separators, surge vessels, heater treater, knock-out drums are working at optimum operating conditions

•   Supervise al process engineering related operations – pipeline construction, separators, etc

•   Work closely with facilities unit to optimize production / custody transfer operations

•   Supervise all production testing operations in conjunction with PED/Operations

•   Ensure regular calibration of the LACT unit in line with company and DPR specifications

Key Interfaces:   

•   Maintenance Department

•   Technical Department

•   Gas plant Operations

•   Petroleum Engineering Department

•   Materials / Procurement Department

KPIs:   

•   Delivery of EPF, Multiphase pumps, e.t.c  within budget and time

•   Zero incidents / HSE- related crisis

•   100% adherence to design parameters

•   Equipment/facilities down time

•   100% compliance of third party operations to Crude Handling Agreements

Key Skills, Experience and Qualifications required:   

•   Bachelors degree in Petroleum Engineering, Process Engineering, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering

•   10 years minimum E & P experience in the oil and /or gas industry

•   Minimum 5 years experience in design of onshore oil and gas production facilities and gathering systems

•   Experience with the Engineering/Design of onshore Oil & Gas facilities especially EPF and Multiphase pumps

•   Able to specify equipment via specs and datasheets, develop P&IDs, evaluation bids, prepare purchase specs and follow through with vendor drawing approval

•   Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) are required

•   Ability to work across business areas and interface at all levels of organization

•   Strong analytical, problem solving and business communication skills

•   Experience in the development of offshore oil and gas production facilities equipment layouts and arrangements.
