The Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Awka has adjourned to February 8, for cross-examination of former Information Minister and APGA senatorial candidxate, Professor Dora Akunyili, in her petition against Dr Chris Ngige of ACN.
The petition is in respect of the polls conducted for Anambra Central Senatorial Zone in April 2011.
Akunyili, who mounted the witness box on Tuesday, was only able to tender exhibits marked 'A' to 'P' and others totaling about 1,451.
Akunyili said during an examination by her counsel, Mr Obiora Obianwu (SAN) ,that the exhibits contained result sheets used for the conduct of the election in some local government areas.
She also tendered a list of voters' register used for the polls in Ukpo ward two code four as well as documents in areas where she alleged over voting.
Counsel to INEC and Ngige, Mr Osita Nnadi (SAN) and Mr Emeka Ngige (SAN), however, reserved their objection to the exhibits to the time of filing their written submissions.
Earlier, the tribunal gave a ruling admitting as exhibits the written statement of a forensic expert, CSP. Elias Uzoemeka, which Ngige and Nnadi had objected to. (NAN)
