Job Description:
• ImplementationEngineer provides custom integration implementation support on Layer3 solutions and professional services. This includes; pre-site inspection, initial installation, implementation,customization, integration and outline orientation for the customer.
• He/she works closely with the Professional Services Sales Unit, Customer Service, Project Managers and other TS personnel,Corporate Technical Support and the customer to ensure a smooth implementation and transition fromstart-up to integration/production mode. He/she is
Other Duties and responsibilities:
• Installation of Gigabit Ethernet‐capableIn‐building Access and Aggregation Layer
Switching Equipment for Voice, Video,Data and Wireless Communications.
• Connection of Access Layer Switches to allocated Aggregation Layer Switches.
• Connection of allocated Aggregation Layer Switches to the Voice, Video and Data Center
(VVDC) over Single‐mode Fibers.
• Installation of Gigabit Ethernet‐ and 10Gigabit Ethernet‐capable Routing and Switching
Equipment at designated Internet Protocol Network Layers in the VVDC
• Installation of Gigabit Ethernet‐capableFirewall Equipment for Secured Network Access
Competencies:
• A solid technical background
• Strong ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements and anticipate end to end network infrastructure needs.
• Ability to research and quickly disseminate information
Education and Experience:
• Education up to degree level preferred, with extensive experience in a technical role, Supporting large IP networks.
• Very strong knowledge ( ideally CCIE, JNCIP/JNCIE level) of the operation,design principles and troubleshooting of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, ISIS, MPLS,QoS/CoS, IPv6, Multicast, etc. is essential.
• Although training will be provided, a strong knowledge of JUNOS and JuniperMX/M/T-series products is desirable.
• Effective consultancy, planning & communication skills, excellent inter-personal skills, ability to work on multiple projects and manage customers appropriately.
• Must be fluent in English and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Work location for this role is in Lagos,Nigeria. Over time this may extend to working consultancy projects throughout Middle-East and Africa.
