As the Federal Government continues to explore ways to curb violence and ensure lasting peace and security across the country, a prominent Igbo leader, Chief Ugochukwu Ezemedolu, has challenged the government to do all it can to bring the country's deteriorating security situation under control.
Ezemedolu, who spoke to Sunday Vanguard in Lagos, warned that firm action must be taken by government to check the security challenge posed by the activities of Boko Haram, an extremist sect which now threatens the unity of the nation.
According to him, the situation has degenerated to an alarming level leading to the exodus of citizens particularly the Igbo who were lucky to escape the mayhem to migrate from one end of the country to the order.
He urged government at all levels and the security operatives to restore hope and peace that would engender confidence in the people who have invested heavily in all parts of the country to stop the drift.
