The position reports to Project Implementation Manager.
Key Accountabilities:
• Efficient execution of Projects.
• Manage the Project Management budget.
• Prepare budgets for the Projects to be managed.
• Cost control for Projects managed.
• Identify areas of cost reduction.
• Manage the Project accounting together with APMT Apapa Finance Department
• Deliver Projects to Customer, including:
• Customer satisfaction:
• Maintain courteous and professional relationships with Suppliers and Consultants.
• Contribute to APMT standards, procedures, guidelines and templates for Project Management.
• Assist in development of APMT standards and guidelines for engineering and technical procurement within:
• Build up and store know-how about the Projects in a systematic and structured way.
• Systematically close out each Project.
Your Profile:
• Civil Engineer.
• Relevant experience including knowledge of civil engineering design, construction, delivery, acceptance. Terminal Engineering experience in Projects would be beneficial.
• Relevant experience and understanding of Project Management for Engineering Projects.
• Considerable drive and interest in the Project Management process and its improvement and optimization for total cost of ownership.
• Self-starter, taking initiatives to influence events to achieve goals.
• Good level of business understanding in job related areas, focus on cost and cash flow.
• Well-organized, timely, and persistent.
• Effective teamwork – inside and outside own organization and authority lines.
• Possess empathy, personal tact, cultural understanding, and strong communication skills.
