Description:
Our client, a leading multi-million dollar Company in the Electrical Power and Construction Sectors in Nigeria, requires an exceptional manager to manage supply chain, administration and IT services. Implementing a successful new support service department that delivers efficient business service. This role will manage and develop the services to improve efficiency & quality and develop excellent relationships with internal and external customers. The SSM will have responsibility of Supply Chain Management (Purchasing, Logistics, Materials and Inventory Management and Import Clearance), General Administration and IT Services.
• 30 Day Milestone
o assess all relevant departments and prepare a comprehensive plan necessary to achieve departmental goals and objectives. Identify critical action items and resource needs and implement appropriate plans to meet company needs.
• 60 Day Milestone
o meet all team members and evaluate their capabilities in line with on-going objectives and department needs. Establish developmental and reorganizational plans as necessary for each team member to rebuild and strengthen the whole group.
o conduct a complete operational review of all processes, procedures, methods and tools to determine adequacy to meet the performance objectives of the department. Prepare a comprehensive plan of action for formal review with the Chief Executive Officer. Identify key problem areas, bottleneck, challenges and resource restraints.
• 90 Day Milestone
o rebuild and reorganize the department to improve quality delivery of services to internal and external clients
o Take charge of relevant departments and develop strategies, procedures and policies to ensure efficiency and positive contribution to company profit margin
• 180 Day Milestone
o evaluate and upgrade the capability of the team in the areas of procurement, and asset and material management. Over the next 6 months, develop and roll out a training and development plan for all members of the department, to ensure they have the required skills to meet aggressive implementation schedule.
• 1 Year Milestone
o Work effectively with finance, commercial, and engineering departments to ensure all projects are delivered profitably and timely.
o Develop "best-in-class" support services department that ensures customers are satisfied with quality and delivery schedule.
Experience Requirements:
• MBA from a reputed Institute and Engineering degree will be an advantage.
• A higher engineering degree will be an advantage.
• Qualified in advanced management techniques for the above functions
• Exposure to multi locational and multimillion valued projects.
• Must be member of professional bodies: Management, HR, COREN, NSE, IEE, Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Management etc.
• Minimum 15/20 years experience in the above professional areas of a reputed multi million-construction company with proven tracts of records and success. Experience should include planning, budgeting executing, monitoring and cash flow management of large companies.
