Registrar, West African Examination Council, WAEC, has been summoned by the National Assembly Election Tribunal sitting in Lagos, to appear before it on February 21, 2012, to give evidence over an alleged duplicate copy of WAEC result by Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, House of Representatives candidate, Mr. Aliu Kazeem.

Registrar, West African Examination Council, WAEC, has been summoned by the National Assembly Election Tribunal sitting in Lagos, to appear before it on February 21, 2012, to give evidence over an alleged duplicate copy of WAEC result by Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, House of Representatives candidate, Mr. Aliu Kazeem.

Kazeem, who was chairman of Coker Aguda Local Council Development Area, Lagos,  was said to have presented three different and contrasting copies of the same WAEC certificates to Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

According to the summon, WAEC is to produce before the court, a duplicate copy or counterfoil of original certificate of the West African Examination School certificate result for June 1978 issued to Aliu Kazeem, candidate No. 15205228 certificate No. SC 078105.

Prince Sunday Aderonmu and Labour Party, had filed a petition at the tribunal, urging the tribunal to disqualify Kazeem from contest in the election to the seat of Surulere II, Lagos Federal constituency held on April 9, 2011.
