Duties and Responsibilities:
• This position will be a key part of the company's efforts to focus on international sourcing, supplier development, procurement standards, cost savings initiatives and process improvement.
• Successful candidate will develop and implement effective international procurement strategies for each project; negotiate supplier agreements and contracts; develop Approved Supplier List and monitor supplier performance; identify and implement product and supply agreement cost reduction opportunities
Qualifications:
• Engineering degree is a requirement.
• Candidate must have the following:
o both international and domestic purchasing/procurement experience in a technical project environment;
o strong skills negotiating contracts, sourcing internationally and building significant supplier relationships;
o certified Purchasing Professional or Certified Professional Purchasing Manager preferred;
o strong understanding of electrical engineering components;
o demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects;
o cost reduction experience.
