Position Summary:
• Purchases materials and equipment on a competitive basis as required by project or Company needs.
• The Senior Buyer is fully qualified to handle all but the most complex purchasing activities.
• Typical assignments include engineered and non-engineered items.
Specific Responsibilities:
Analyzes purchase requisitions to ensure clarity and completeness in description of materials and equipment, quantity and quality requirements, proper authorization of funding, delivery requirements, mode of transportation, and proper support documentation.
Requirements:
• BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Economics, or equivalent, or 5 to 7 years of experience.
• In addition, 3 to 5 years of relevant purchasing experience, strong communication skills, and computer literacy, is preferred.
