Role Synopsis:

•   To function as part of maintenance Technician group, providing specialist support roles in a variety of technical duties to support the maintenance and reliability initiatives of the Geo-market, as related to the current Drilling & Evaluation supported tool suite and surface equipment.  

•   This position will work unsupervised but under the direction of the Facility Maintenance Supervisor.

•   The position requires significant knowledge of Drilling & Evaluation products and the ability to quickly assess existing and potential problem areas concerning maintenance practices and product reliability

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

•   Adherence to the company's defined HS&E Policies and Procedures

•   Work to pre-defined procedures in line with established work practices

•   Successful Technical and Non-Technical Competence Assessment

•   Work to pre-defined procedures in line with established work practices

•   Complete tool inspections in accordance with engineering drawings & Procedures

•   Contribute to FRACAS data collection

•   Where applicable, utilize the MaPS database to input and access the necessary

•   Maintenance data records to apply conditional based Maintenance routines and to enable problem / equipment failure investigations.

•   Completion of required training and development programs associated with the Technician Competency Management Program

•   Ability to work from engineering drawings and follow formal procedures and maintenance practices

•   Willingness to travel between company Maintenance facilities for training and/or

•   Maintenance activities

•   Performance of unsupervised maintenance duties within proven competence levels

•   Exposure to hazardous materials and safety critical situations using appropriate safety wear and precautions, in accordance with the company's HS&E Policies and Procedures

•   Heavy lifting may be required, in accordance with Company HS&E policy and procedures

•   Any other duties as assigned by Maintenance Manager / Supervisor as appropriate

Basic Qualifications:

•   Nationally recognized qualification in a mechanical or electronic discipline e.g. "Higher

•   National Diploma" ("HND")

•   Minimum 2 years relevant industrial experience.

•   Successful completion of written technical pre-assessment

Desired/Preferred Qualifications:

•   Proficient in use of computer based programs related to application of products.

•   Good communication skills – both verbal and written.

•   Good analytical skills.
