Luis Suarez has branded Arsenal's 2-1 victory over Liverpool on Saturday as "unfair" after an injury time Robin van Persie winner saw the Gunners claim all three points.

The Merseyside club took the lead through a Laurent Koscielny own goal and dominated large periods of the game, hitting the woodwork twice and also winning a penalty, which Dirk Kuyt missed.

However, Van Persie equalized with a header on the half-hour mark before hitting a late volley to ensure the hosts were left empty-handed.

Suarez, however, was left unimpressed with the result which leaves the Reds 10 points behind Arsenal, and has dealt their hopes of a top four finish a severe blow.

The forward wrote on Twitter: "What an unfair defeat! We did all our best to win the game but we lost at the very end... Come on! We can do it!! YNWA"

The defeat is Liverpool's first at home this season in the league, although they have drawn eight times at Anfield this campaign, winning only four times in front of their own fans.
