The football there is still sub-stadard, but the oil money could turn things around, if big names flood there. Former Nigerian captian, Jay Jay Okocha, once played there.
As for Nigerian players, the local league is poorly funded, coupled with mal-administration of football in the country, which makes the Nigerian league unattractive.
