REPORTS TO: Department Head of Energy & Gas Market Analysis

LOCATION: Doha, Quatar

JOB HIGHLIGHTS

To monitor and analyze the developments in processing and transportation of gas pipelines, LNG terrains as well as gas storage and their future trends. To monitor and analyze the capacity expansion, configuration and technology of the refining and petrochemical industry; to monitor and analyze investment and processing costs, and cost of transporting gas, LNG, CNG and products, and strategies of the gas companies in the downstream sector.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. To monitor and analyze the developments in processing pipelines gas, LNG terrains and transportation of gas.

2. To monitor and analyze the capacity expansion, configuration and technology of the refining and petrochemical industry.

3. To monitor and analyze investment and processing costs, and strategies of the gas companies in the downstream sector.

4. To collect and analyze all the necessary data affecting the costs of transporting natural gas by pipeline and LNG in tankers necessary for forecasting world-wide gas transportation activity in the medium and long term with related investments.

5. To monitor and analyze activities related to gas storage and study their future trends.

6. To carry out any other study relevant to the downstream sector.

7. To carry out any other tasks assigned to him by his relevant superiors as pertain to his background, qualifications and position.

Requirements to the candidate for the position of Gas Downstream Analyst

I. GENERAL

1. Citizenship: Member Country

2. Age: 45 maximum

3. Languages: Good command of written and spoken English

4. Education: BSc./B.A in Petroleum Economics, Refining/Processing or related

Sciences

5. Readiness to travel: To be adjusted according to business necessity

II. SPECIFIC

1. Work experience: Minimum of six (6) years' professional experience, after qualifying,

in the gas industry in the field of gas refining, or transportation of gas and/or LNG. Experience in international gas market assessment is essential.

2. Knowledge and skills:

• Knowledge of modeling techniques is an advantage.

• Analytical and independent thinking

• Analytical writing

• Ability to work in international and professional team environment

• Effective oral and written communication skills

• Ability to work independently and in team while meeting deadlines

• Commitment to quality work and strong attention to details

I. GENERAL INFORNATION

1. Position Title: Gas Downstream Analyst

2. Department: Energy and Gas Market Analysis

3. Body: Secretariat

4. Organization: Gas Exporting Countries Forum

5. Location: Headquarter, Doha, State of Qatar

6. Address: Tornado Tower, 47-48 floors, West Bay area, Doha, Qatar, P.O. Box 23753

7. Working hours: From 7:00 to 15:30

8. Working days: Sunday – Thursday

II. INFORMATION on EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT

1. Type of Contract /Contract Duration: Fixed 2 years, with possibility of renewal

2. Probationary period:6 months

3. Applicable Law: Employment Contract is governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Host Country Agreement and the State of Qatar

4. Jurisdiction: According to Host Country Agreement with the State of Qatar

III. STATUS & SUBORDINATION

1. Instructions and directions: Under direct instructions and directions of the Head, Energy & Gas Market Analysis Department

2. Reporting to: Head, Energy & Gas Market Analysis Department

3. Status: Category I (Professional Staff), P4 grade

4. Working closely with: Staff of Statistics & Gas Modeling Department and Energy & Gas Market Analysis Department

IV. SALARY & BENEFITS

1. Salary: Net monthly USD 9,000

2. Housing Allowance: 35 % of basic salary paid on a monthly basis

3. Car Allowance: 6,5 % of basic salary paid on a monthly basis

4. Medical Insurance Provided by Forum for employee and dependents

5. Children education: Education allowance up to 12000 USD per child per school year

6. Other allowances Installation allowance; Family allowance for dependent spouse

and children; Annual cost of living allowance

7. Provident fund: Participation in Forums' saving scheme for employee, to be paid

upon resignation

V. HOLIDAYS AND VACATION

1. Annual Paid Leave: 30 days

2. Home Leave Ticket: On completion of 1 year service for employee and dependents

(spouse and children)

3. Official Holidays app. 15 days per year
