Nigerian Founders Of Silicon Valley-Based, Pontaba To Showcase Two Games At Game Developers' Conference 2012

Pontaba, a San Francisco-based startup founded by Nigerian entrepreneurs, Amaete Umanah and Ady Ngom will be showcasing their Starlogic HTML5 2D and 2.5D Game Engine at the 2012 Game Developers Conference in San Francisco.

Starlogic is the only web-based (HTML5) engine to come with real-time multiplayer, single code base on client and server, persistent world storage, highly optimized canvas and networking out-of-the-box.

The engine requires no plugins to run which means players can run their game without Adobe Flash or Microsoft Silverlight, straight from their web browser or mobile device.

Pontaba will join its partner Joyent Cloud in its booth (405) to show visitors how leading game companies and indie game developers can leverage Pontaba's Starlogic HTML5 2D and 2.5D Game Engine via the Joyent Cloud for high-performance gaming development.

At the event, the company's CTO, Ady Ngom will be making a presentation on Wednesday, March 7th, between 1pm – 4pm and will be showcasing two games — Star Village and Black Jack — which both run cross-platform on multiple devices.

The 2012 Game Developers Conference will kick off tomorrow (Wednesday) at the Moscone Convention Center and end on Friday, March 9th.

We'll be following the event and would bring you relevant updates from Wednesday. Stay tuned!
