Mongezi Bobe has expressed his pride in netting the winning goal in SuperSport United's shock defeat to Black Leopards, admitting the team was desperate for a win.
Lidoda Duvha were without a domestic win since their 1-0 victory over AmaZulu in November 2011, and are currently lying in the doldrums of the League table.
However, an 88th minute strike by star player Bobe was enough to snatch a win against fourth-placed SuperSport.
"It was a great feeling to score the winning goal and getting the three points," Bobe told KickOff.com.
"We were desperate for the win so we had to get it.
"The difference was that SuperSport is playing to win the title and we are playing against relegation, we knew it would be tough.
"But not taking anything from SuperSport, they played well. They kept us under pressure and they made it difficult against is.
"It was crucial that we took our chances but it could have gone either way."
The win moves Vladislav Heric's side just two points below Platinum Stars and Santos, and has evidently increased the confidence and belief of Premiership survival.
"Our morale is up and the belief is there. We are still to play Platinum Stars at home and we know our supporters will come in numbers and we will be hopeful for maximum points," Bobe says.
