Five Orlando Pirates players have been ruled out for the Soweto Derby against Kaizer Chiefs tomorrow at FNB Stadium.
The players are Lucky Lekgwathi (knee strain), Thulasizwe Mbuyane (right calf muscle strain), Rudolf Bester (groin strain), Talatou Boubacar (twisted ankle), and Luis Boa Morte.
Boa Morte is expected to be out of action for up to six weeks after fracturing a bone in his toe during a Reserve League match against Moroka Swallows on Monday.
"It is part of football you know," he says. "I went into a tackle and came off second best.
"This is a real pity as I was really looking forward to the match on Saturday. I'll be resting for the next couple of weeks and then it's back to work as I look to fight my way back into the team."
