NFF Executive Committee member Christopher Green has promised that there will be more arrests on the tail of last weekend's violent finish to the Heartland and Enyimba Oriental derby.
Heartland fans were seen on live TV kicking, punching and slapping referee Gabriel Adigwe immediately after the game, which their team lost 2-3 despite taking a two-goal advantage.
Ifeanyi Ashinze, one of the principal perpetrators, was arrested by police and faces criminal prosecution.
But Green, head of the NFF's Technical Sub Commitee, says he will not be the last
"Most of the people who committed the act were clearly seen on television, and they will also be arrested and prosecuted," he told KickOffNigeria.com. "As I speak to you now, Heartland have promised to identify them and hand them over to the police.
"The same treatment will be meted out to any fan who thinks they can go to the stadium to cause violence."
Heartland have been fined N1 million and will pay an additional N200 000 each to the assaulted match officials.
They will now also play their home games in Calabar.
