In a bid to penetrate Nigeria's sporting culture with Motorsport, GRC Motorsport hosted friends and fans of Team Nigeria Racing Eagle to an event tagged 'An Evening with Racing Eagle,' at the prestigious Raceway Docklands in London, which has hosted Formula 1 drivers such as Lewis Hamilton, Michael Schumacher and other big names in the Motorsport world.
In a release made available to Sunday Vanguard Sports, the Team's Principal/Owner of Team Nigeria Racing Eagle, Ribi Adeshokan said, "It has been a journey and tremendous work has been put into the project since 2006. An official launch in London and Nigeria is the next stage in order to commence with the inaugural race at the start of the season in June 2012".
On his part, the lead driver of the team, Sam Collins said, "I am so excited to be part of this great history. I have never been to Nigeria and I refused to visit until Motorsport is brought to Nigeria. GRC has made this possible and it's a dream come true for me. I am ready to fly the flag of our nation and make Nigeria a part of the billion-dollar Motorsport industry".
