Title: Tinto PhD Studentship in Remote Sensing at University of Sydney, 2012 Australia.

Doctoral Studentship in the field of Remote Sensing for the applicants of Australian a New Zealand citizen at University of Sydney for he year 2012 in Australia is now available for scholarship.

The Study Subject is Robotics and the course level is PhD. The scholarship provider is Rio Tinto Centre for Mine Automation (RTCMA). The scholarship can be taken at Australia.

Essential requirements are:-
•A Bachelor Degree with First Class Honours or equivalent results.
•Excellent mathematical skills.
•Open to learning new techniques and approaches including machine learning and multivariate analyses.
•Practical experience using Matlab.
•A willingness to work in the field, including at working mine sites.

The scholarship is also open for International Students.

Two PhD positions are available to work on the analysis of spatial, multivariate data from open-pit iron ore mines. The research will complement and build upon existing work in the Rio Tinto Centre for Mine Automation (RTCMA) in the Australian Centre for Field Robotics (ACFR).
