BENIN—FORMER governor of old Bendel State and member, Board of Trustees of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Dr. Samuel Ogbemudia, has expressed satisfaction with the on-going road projects being executed by the state government, saying that Governor Adams Oshiomhole's performance so far, would earn him a second term ticket to the state's Government House.
Speaking during an unscheduled visit by Oshiomhole who inspected road projects around the hitherto flood prone Five Junction area of Benin City, Ogbemudia said: "I salute your dedication, vision and loyalty which are all you need to be sworn-in in July. Benin people have already spoken."
Ogbemudia, who was elated by the quality of work on the roads which passed through his residence at New Lagos Road, said: "All of you should bubble with enthusiasm as you take over in July." Turning to Oshiomhole, he said, "You go there, win and leave the rest for us. Your job is to go and win and come back to Osadebey Avenue. "
He berated some members of the PDP who visited him recently, Ogbemudia said, "those PDP people who came to see me, I asked Show they came. They said they came through a brand new good road. And I said, 'Don't you think you should say thank you to Oshiomhole who built it?' They said their thank you would not go to Oshiomhole but to the contractors who built it. And I told them that we should learn to give credit to whom credit is due."
