LAGOS – One Mrs Regina Mba, has been arraigned before a Yaba Magistrate's Court, Lagos, for obtaining N2.7 million from one Charity Emenogu, under the false pretence that she was working as Marketing Staff of First Bank Nigeria Plc.
The accused is facing a three-count charge of obtaining money under false pretence, stealing. The offence is punishable under Section 409 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2011.
The charge read, "That you, Regina Mba and one Sunday Akubueze now at large, between the year 2009 to November 11, 2011, at Ijesha-tedo Area of Lagos, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did steal the sum of N2.7m property of one Charity Emenogu and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 285 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2003."
