CALABAR—GOVERNOR Liyel Imoke of Cross River State has denied allegation that his choice of political appointees for Special Advisers and commissioners had caused rumpus in the Peoples Democratic Party in the state.

The denial came on the heels of attacks and criticisms over the list of nominees the governor submitted to the state House of Assembly for screening as commissioners.

Imoke, who spoke through his Special Assistant, Media/Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Christian Ita, said that those appointed were carefully chosen to assist in the task of furthering the development of the state.

He dismissed claims that there was disquiet in the PDP, adding that the appointments were to enhance service delivery to the people.
