In line with the guidelines for admission into her undergraduate degree programmes, Federal University Wukari (FUWUKARI),Taraba State announces its 2012/2013 Post-UTME screening exercise as follows:
SCREENING DATES
DAY 1: TUESDAY, 2ND JULY 2012: Faculty of Pure & Applied Sciences(SC) and Faculty of Agriculture & Life Sciences (ALS)
- Screening of Candidates: 7.30 a.m. – 12.30 pm.
- Aptitude Test: 1.00 p.m. – 2.00 pm.
DAY 2: WEDNESDAY, 3RD JULY 2012: Faculty of Humanities, Management & Social Sciences (HMSS)
- Screening of Candidates: 7.30 a.m. – 12.30 pm.
- Aptitude Test: 1.00 p.m. – 2.00 pm.
VENUES
a. Take-off Campus, Federal University Wukari.
b. Federal Government College, Jalingo Road, Wukari.
c. Government Day Secondary School, IBBI Road, Wukari
Notice of specific venues for the respective programmes shall be posted on the University Website (Federal University Wukari, Taraba (http://u.theinfostrides.com/fuwukari)), click on "Notification of Test Venue" and at the gate of the Take-off Campus on the day(s) of the tests.
ELIGIBILITY
- Candidates who obtained the UTME cut-off scores of 180 in the Sciences and 190 in the Humanities and Social Sciences (in relevant subjects) who chose Federal University Wukari as their 1st or 2nd choice.
- Candidates who did not choose Federal University Wukari as either 1st or 2nd choice but who meet the stipulated cut off marks can also apply.
- Please note that all Candidates are expected to possess five (5) credits at SSCE (or equivalent) in relevant subjects at not more than 2 sittings including credit passes in English and Mathematics;
- Candidates are also requested to kindly note that credit passes in English Language and Mathematics shall be compulsory for admission into all programmes EXCEPT English & Literary Studies and History & Diplomatic Studies where credit pass in Mathematics is not required;
- Please note that only Candidates who meet Departmental and Faculty requirements for their proposed programmes of study are eligible to apply for the 2012/2013 Post-UTME Screening Exercise of the Federal University Wukari.
- Candidates should kindly go online and log onto (Federal University Wukari, Taraba (http://u.theinfostrides.com/fuwukari)) , the official website of the Federal University Wukari for more information on Departmental and Faculty subject combination requirements for admission to the University.
- Kindly also note that unqualified Candidates who show up at the venue(s) of the Post-UTME Screening Exercise will not be screened.
REGISTRATION PROCEDURE
i. Ensure that you fully qualify to apply for the POST-UTME Aptitude test for the Federal University Wukari by going online and logging onto (Federal University Wukari, Taraba (http://u.theinfostrides.com/fuwukari)) website. Click on "Faculty and Departmental Subject Combination Requirements for Admission into the 2012/13 session of the Federal University Wukari ".
ii. If you meet Departmental and Faculty requirements for your proposed programme of study and stipulated UTME cut off score, obtain a bank draft of N2,500.00 in favour of Federal University Wukari;
iii. Go online and log onto (Federal University Wukari, Taraba (http://u.theinfostrides.com/fuwukari)) website and click on "Apply for 2012/13 POST-UTME Aptitude Test". Or visit here (Portal Pro+ : Federal University Wukari- Sign up (http://u.theinfostrides.com/fuwukariportal))
iv. Download the Post-UTME Application Form, complete in duplicate and affix your passport photographs;
v. Candidates are expected to bring the two copies of the completed application form and their bank drafts to the venue of the Post-UTME exercise;
vi. Website closes by midnight on June 28, 2012.
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING
Your Application will not be successful if:
- Your UTME score is less than 180 for Sciences and less than 190 for Humanities and Social Sciences;
- You do not possess 5 WAEC, NECO or NABTEB O'Level credit passes in relevant subjects for your proposed programme of study;
- You do not meet Departmental/Faculty requirements for your proposed programme of study;
- If any information entered on your application form differs from what was indicated on your JAMB Registration Form.
Important Instructions
- Please use exactly the same names (and in the same order) as on your JAMB Registration Form);
- Kindly fill current and valid e-mail addresses and cell phone numbers on your Application Form for ease of contact.
ITEMS TO BE TAKEN TO THE VENUE OF THE POST-UTME SCREENING EXERCISE
1. UTME Result Slip;
2. Photocopies of SSCE, GCE , NECO or NABTEB results;
3. Two Copies of Completed Application Forms with Passport Photographs affixed;
4. Bank draft of N2,500.00 in favour of Federal University Wukari;
5. The following writing materials:
a. HB pencil;
b. Erasers.
CAUTION
The following items are not allowed in the Screening Halls
a. Mathematical tables and Calculators;
b. Biros and Pens;
c. GSM phones (those brought into the halls will be confiscated).
