ALL is set for the maiden edition of the African Peoples Heritage Awards scheduled to hold in Benin City, Edo State capital, on Friday, April 6.
Billed to receive awards at the occasion are Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State, Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan (Delta), Governor Godswill Akpabio (Akwa Ibom), Governor Ibrahim Shema (Katsina), Governor Rotimi Amaechi (Rivers) and Governor Rochas Okorocha (Imo).
Also to receive awards are Chief Gabriel Igbinedion, the Esama of Benin; Prof Adewoye Olusegun, DG, NASENI, Prof Osayuki Oshodin, VC, UNIBEN; Tunde Kelani, film maker; and Mr. Fola Adeola, MD/CEO, Fate Foundation.
A statement by Prof. Amadasun Osamoro, on behalf of the organisers, E-Zone Marketing and Event Managers, said the Heritage Awards were designed to celebrate people who have contributed to the socio-economic and cultural development of Africa.
