Muttaqa Rabe Darma and the management of the Petroleum Training Institute (PTI) over the non-completion of projects estimated at N20 billion.

The projects, including administrative/office blocks, two hostels, water works, a printing press, call duty quarters, generators and staff club, are located at PTI, Effunrun, Warri, Delta State.

The chairman of the Senate Committee on Petroleum Resources (Downstream), Senator Magnus Abe (PDP, Rivers South East) said his committee was shocked to have learnt from the PTI Project Consultant, Engr. Adebisi Ashimi that about 16 projects had been abandoned; and some contracts, withdrawn.

According to Senator Abe, the minister, the PTDF boss and the PTI management are being invited "to come and explain why there are so many uncompleted projects at the PTI. We need to know why a place that is so critical to the nation's economy will be so abandoned."
