Title: Niger-Delta Economic Development Center Job for Chief Security Officer

Partnership Initiatives in the Niger Delta (PIND) is seeking for a qualified candidate to fill the position below;

Job Title: Chief Security Officer
Location: Warri , Nigeria


Educational Qualification:
•   Must have a solid understanding of information technology and information security.
•   10 – 12 years progressive experience working in a security department /organisation / agency.
•   Must have strong working knowledge of pertinent law and the law enforcement community.
•   Consensus-builder, while still results-oriented and commitment focused
•   Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•   Experience with risk analysis and contingency planning
•   A bachelor's degree in Social Sciences or any relevant field. A Masters degree in a relevant field is an added advantage.

Knowledge, skill and experience:
Must be an intelligent, articulate and persuasive leader who is able to communicate security-related concepts to a broad range of technical and nontechnical staff.

Responsibilities
•   Manage the development and implementation of security policy, standards, guidelines and procedures to ensure ongoing maintenance of security.
•   Physical protection responsibilities will include asset protection, workplace violence prevention, access control systems, video surveillance and more.
•   Environmental scanning on threat, determine level of risk and apply security phases.
•   Interfacing with security departments in other organisations
•   Manage security escorts to support the needs of the center
•   Work with outside consultants as appropriate for independent security measures
•   Create, maintain and improve safety in the center.
•   Lead operational risk management activities and assessment
•   Identify protection goals, objectives and metrics consistent with foundation strategic plan
•   Oversee incident response planning as well as the investigation of security breaches, and assist with disciplinary and legal matters associated with such breaches as necessary
•   Oversee the continuous monitoring and protection of facilities, personnel and information systems.
•   Maintain relationships with local, state and federal law enforcement and other related government agencies
