Title: Leaking petrol tankers halt traffic on Lagos roads
Post by: Punch on Apr 04, 2012, 07:00 PM
Two leaking tankers on Wednesday forced traffic on the Mile 2-bound side of Apapa-Oshodi Expressway to a halt.

The cause of the leakage was not confirmed but the leakage forced traffic to a halt near Sanya bus-stop.

Firemen swiftly rushed to the scene to prevent a blaze.

The situation led to long lines of traffic.

Another report says a petrol tanker broke down on Ojodu-Berger Road in Lagos, with fuel pouring out from its tank.

Firemen are said to be at the scene but there are fears that the busy road might become jammed with traffic.

More details later.
