Title: Court remands 7 for alleged kidnapping

OSOGBO—An Osogbo Senior Magistrate's Court, yesterday, ordered  seven persons charged with the kidnap of a national of United Arab Emirate be remanded in prison.

They accused persons are Siyanbade Olalekan, 27, Lamidi Akinkunmi, 29, Ajagungbade Adeleke, 33, Saka Kashim, 27, Ajibade Ojo, 29, Nureni Lamidi, 25 and Olasunkanmi Temitope, 22.

The accused persons are facing a three-count charge of kidnapping, conspiracy and illegal possession of prohibited firearms.

The State Security Service Prosecutor, Mr Michael Ubi, told the court that the accused persons "and others now at large on January 20, about 5 p.m. at Aboriogun Village in Osun did commit an offence to wit: kidnapping."

Ubi alleged that the accused while acting in contact with one Teslim Akerele, Prince Omo Oba, Ismail Owoeye and one Olaitan, whom the accused confirmed as their leaders, kidnapped one Mohammed Khamis in Lagos.
