I want to bring to the notice of the relevant exam bodies in the country and the Federal Ministry of Education the exploitative nature of most secondary schools in Lagos State when it comes to the Senior School Certificate Examinations. These schools, especially the ones around Ikotun, Okota and Ijegun areas of the state are fond of collecting money from prospective candidates but not registering them for the said exams. Investigations show that even proprietors of these schools are privy to the terrible act that has caused heartaches to many. I would like the education ministry and the exam bodies to come out with a policy statement on this matter. If external candidate registration has been outlawed, let us know. Enough of this brazen exploitation!
