Title: Easter: JTF patrols Kano’s streets in armoured vehicles

The Joint Security Task Force on Friday deployed armoured vehicles in major streets of Kano metropolis.

The vehicles were seen as early as 9 a.m. along Sabon-Gari area in Kano metropolis patrolling the streets, the News Agency of Nigeria reports.

NAN reports that the deployment of the vehicles was part of the measures taken by the JTF to enhance security in the city, especially during the Easter celebrations.

Similarly, armed soldiers have also been drafted to some strategic places in the metropolis to enhance security in those areas.

NAN reports that armed soldiers were also seen in their vehicles patrolling the major streets in the city as part of effort to prevent possible attacks during the period.

It was observed that security had also been beefed up in all parts of the town as some of the security check points which were recently dismantled have now resurfaced along the streets.

The state police command has also assured residents of adequate security during the Easter celebration.
