President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday disclosed his resolve to sign the 2012 budget into law this week, more than seven days after the expiration of the 2011 budget.
The president, who stated this yesterday during the commissioning of the model Almajiri School in Gagi town of Sokoto State, said the passage of the budget would enable him fulfil his campaign promises. A source in the National Assembly had told Daily Trust that a clean copy of the budget was forwarded to the Presidency two weeks ago but is yet to be signed by the president.
It was also gathered that the president has issues with the increase of about N200 billion to the budget proposal which hiked the figure from N4.64 to N4.8 trillion.

the issues of budgeting in nigeria is of any meaning again,why it was not sign,our life remain the same in nigeria,when it sign no difference,except the people that are stealing are concern,because the signing,give the go ahead to steal .by the end of the year,we are told budget performance is less than 50% and nobody is query,accountable and business continues as usual,is true that budget is law,if that is true why is that somebody is not been dealt with for breaking the law.are we that lawless
another money to be stolen by publc officers!!
