BENIN— EDO State Chairman of People's Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Dan Orbih, yesterday, said the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, and its candidate for the July 14 gubernatorial election in the state, Governor Adams Oshiomhole were worried over the reformed state of the PDP in the state, which he said was prepared to turn the table against the ACN candidate in the forthcoming election.
Chief Orbih, at a meeting of Edo South Senatorial zone at the wards levels in Benin City, said the party had been restructured to conquer other parties in the forthcoming election.
He said: "The government in Edo State under ACN is worried about what they see in the new PDP in the state. Their fear is based on the strength of the party as at today. The strength in the party is also as result of the governorship candidate you have freely elected and nominated to be the next governor of the state.
"The meeting is timely and you will agree with me that as Christians are celebrating the resurrection of Christ, for us in PDP, we're celebrating not just the resurrection of our party but restoration of the party to Government House in Edo State."
He explained that the meeting was organised for the ward leadership of the party to fully take the campaign to their people.
