Governor Idris Wada of Kogi State has appointed a banker, Mr. Joseph Daniel, as his new Chief of Staff.
The appointment and those of two special advisers, was contained in a statement issued in Lokoja on Friday and signed by the Governor's Special Adviser on Media, Mr Jacob Edi, the News Agency of Nigeria reports.
It stated that Wada also approved the appointment of Air Commodore Jonhson Onekutu (retd.) as his Special Adviser (Special Duties) and Mrs. Temitope Sinkaiye as Special Adviser (Youth and Women Development).
The new chief of staff, who is a former managing director of the defunct Rim Merchant Bank and General Manager, Zenith Bank Plc, hails from Dekina Local Government Area of the state.
Sinkaiye, who is currently the Head of Department, Rural Development and Gender Issues at the Agricultural and Rural Management Training Institute, Ilorin, hails from Ijumu Local Government Area.
According to the statement, all appointments take immediate effect.
