The founder and senior pastor of Christ Embassy, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome on Sunday told all who cared to listen that since the Bible does not expressly condemn both Cigarette and Alcohol, then there is nothing wrong with these stuffs.
It all started when a viewer of his television programme wrote in to enquire from the popular pastor if it was wrong for a 'Christian to work in a Cigarette company'.
Below is the response from Pastor Chris:
There is nothing wrong with Cigarette, the Bible doesn't say anything was wrong with it... I know a lot of people do complain about it because of the relationship attached to it with some sicknesses like cancer...but if they really believe it is wrong why not ban it totally.
It is the same thing when you have Christians working in the Breweries. The Bible doesn't condemn alcohol. The only reference made to alcohol in the Bible is 'do not take too much of wine'. So you see these things has to do with the individual state...if they are convince something is not good they should just ban it..."

I totally agree with Pastor Chris, I hv not see or read any where in the bible where cigar smoking was mentioned and even Timothy in the bible was advice to take little of wine, but it was not tated the quantity of alcohol in the wine.

Good write up and study brother, but d simple question is was cigar mentioned in the bible? No from my own view.
Did bible say don't take alc drink?
Also note bible is not understood by flesh revelation it by the spirit, so we must study in line with the holy spirit,
God is an not an author of confusion, and I know some medications has element of alc on it. So I still stand by the man of God
you know so many people who are against the progress of this man of God alway create some question for him just to find out what he will say about it.
@ Zilo I gues you are one of such folks. You only went ahead to analise that of alcohol, and left out cigarette. But i will reply you shorty to clarify some things to you.
I don't believe in what any pastor said when it comes to the case of Alcohol.It is bad and it will remain so with me.I know that God is totally against it.

alcohol and cigarettes are great sins not to be toyed with.pastor chris is so wrong about this.
