The so-called state visit of Mrs. Patience Jonathan to Lagos State last week brought misery in its wake, plus a tale of anguish. The visit literally brought Lagos on its knees for several hours with business activities all paralysed. What added value the visit made to our lives, if any, no one can guess. Rather, it cost us losses running into billions of naira, if we consider that Lagos is the business hub of Nigeria. Now, what is the official reaction? Mum is the word with no apology whatever from any quarter. An unelected woman, with no defined constitutional role, made us undergo this hardship. What a transformation! We seem to have moved from 'Better life for Rural Women', which involved dancing to Jonathan's new pet, 'Better life for urban women' where she came to Lagos to 'thank' the South-South women.
