Whoever expected Barack Obama's candidate for the World Bank presidency job, Yong Kim, to lose to Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala was not serious. We must be realistic as Nigerians that whoever has higher power wins in a race. In 1979, we were told by those in power that the best candidate would not always win, and so it was. Is the present Minister of Education the best for the nation? What about the one for the Petroleum Ministry, is she the best for the job? In 1975, a journalist was made the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria. Okonjo-Iweala, congratulations for a well fought battle. However, don't advise our President to increase oil price anymore because the masses are suffering.
