In Rigasa, an emerging stronghold of Boko Haram in North-West Zone after Maiduguri, an officer en route to the Rigasa Divisonal Police Headquarters was attacked by men on a bike.
The incident happened seconds ago in the troubled densely populated suburb. At press time it could not be confirmed whether there were fatalities.
Armed soldiers supporting mobile policemen have stormed the area and launched a manhunt for the suspects.
