Arusha -
The UN-backed tribunal for Rwanda on Thursday transferred a genocide suspect to that country, the first to be sent for trial before a national court, the suspect's lawyer told AFP.
"I have just been informed that he has boarded the plane for Kigali," said Claver Sindayigaya, the lawyer for Jean Bosco Uwinkindi, who is accused of planning and coordinating the 1994 genocide. - Sapa-AFP
