Title: Jonathan asks PDP to free self from ‘money-bags’
Post by: DT on Apr 25, 2012, 11:01 AM
President Goodluck Jonathan has tasked the new leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to device alternative sources of funding in order to free the party from being hijacked by 'money-bags'.

Speaking at a dinner organised for the newly elected National Working Committee (NWC) of the party, President Jonathan said the Alhaji Bamanga Tukur led leadership must ensure the supremacy of the party over all members. He said the party must place itself in a position to be able to whip members into line whenever they deviate. "PDP is a political party and as a party you must have guidelines and no matter the office you are holding, the party must be in a position to discipline or admonish Mr. President if he deviates. In his remark, Bamanga Tukur promised to keep to his campaign promises of ensuring equity and justice for all members.

This is a mere day dreaming as far as I am concerned. That may not be possible in this present Nigeria. Or what do you think?
